life's lesson number 482398573

don't take world civ from a woman who was born in china. china is just not that interesting.

I'm in this class right now, and at least i have internet. Otherwise, I might just kill myself. This class is awful. Maybe I'm ethnocentric for not enjoying eastern history, but its just so foreign (no pun intended) that I just can't get interested in it.

boo.

happy valentines day to everyone, but especially carrie!

Currently Listening
Touch This & Die
By Class of 98

i watch indie films, smoke from my pipe. Take my ibook to coffee houses and listen to jazz music. Its such a fun life.

Anyway, things are going well in life. I'm watching Entourage right now with josh and kelly, waiting for my clothes to get done in the wash. I'll throw them in the dryer, and then go to bed. Tomorrow is friday, and I'm pumped about that. Carrie and I are going on a double date with two of her friends, one of whom is a former mennonite baptist. Interesting, huh?

I really want to see Brokeback Mountain. I realize its about two gay cowboys, and as ludicris as that sounds, since I've heard nothing but great reviews about it, I feel like I need to see it.

Classes are going all right. I like history courses, and since I'm taking three of them this semester, thats a positive thing.

I'm thinking about getting a 2006 RAV4. I want to get a job selling cars at Toyota this summer. That way I can get the employee discount. That would be awesome.

I really have nothing deep to say. Life is just awesome right now. There are very few things that could make it better at this point in my life.

Words are an interesting thing. They can only go so far to describe the way you feel. I'm feeling so many things I can't explain right now, and if I listed every single positive descriptor in the english language, I still don't think it would quite capture it.

This is all good by the way... just in case you were wondering.

Also, something else I've been thinking about is how scary this whole relationship thing is. When I start feeling a certain way, and I"m pretty confident that my feelings aren't just infatuation, but true feelings, I won't let myself tell the person for fear that they aren't at the same place I am. I just... I don't know. I'm on a ride and I have no idea where its going, but I have an idea and I'm gonna do my best to hold on for dear life.

went to panama city this weekend.

Randy Harris was a great speaker. I'm so glad that people in the c of c are quickly moving towards postmodernity. I think its a natural transition. 15 years ago we started questioning many things, because of our postmodernity (though we didn't know what it was) and now, we're realizing that our strict interpretation was not limited to only worship styles and women's roles, but it has permeated our theology and we've seriously missed the point on some issues.

Carrie Melton is the most amazing girl in the entire world.
